HOW WE PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT

Browse Our Data Security and Retention Practices

From the moment you open an account, dishavar applies layered security measures to keep your personal data protected.

Cookie Policy

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. You can adjust cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time without affecting your account access.

Account Security

Account credentials are stored as salted hashes — we never hold your password in plain text. Two-factor verification is available for additional login protection and we flag unusual login locations automatically.

Data Retention Periods

Transaction records and account data are retained for the period required by applicable Indian financial regulations. Once that period lapses and your account is closed, we delete or anonymise your personal data on a rolling schedule.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We share data only with payment processors such as UPI gateways and Paytm to complete transactions, and with identity verification providers where local law requires it. No data is passed to advertisers or data brokers.

Right to Correction and Access

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold on your account at any time. If any detail is inaccurate — name, phone number, email — contact our privacy team and we will correct it within five working days.

Withdrawal of Consent

Where data processing is based on your consent — such as marketing emails — you can withdraw that consent at any time via your account notification settings or by contacting us directly. Withdrawal does not affect data we must retain by law.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Privacy

Here are the questions we receive most often about data collection, storage, and your rights as a dishavar account holder in India. If your question is not covered here, reach out through the support channels listed above.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and the device identifiers used to verify your session. Payment method details such as your UPI ID or Paytm mobile number are recorded only to process transactions and match them to your account.

Payment data passed through UPI or PhonePe is processed by the respective gateway to complete the transfer. We store a transaction reference and amount for your account history but do not retain full UPI credentials or PhonePe tokens after the transaction closes.

Yes. Submit a data access request through email or live chat and we will compile a summary of personal data tied to your account. We aim to deliver this within five working days of verifying your identity.

We retain transaction and identity records for the period required under applicable Indian financial and anti-fraud regulations. Once that mandatory window closes, your personal data is deleted or anonymised on a rolling schedule.

No. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with marketing companies or data brokers. Data is shared only with payment processors and, where local law requires it, with identity verification providers.

You can withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by updating your notification preferences inside your account settings, or by emailing our privacy team directly. Opting out takes effect within 48 hours.

Contact our privacy team immediately via email or live chat with a description of your concern. We log every complaint with a reference number, investigate within five working days, and follow up with a written response explaining our findings.
